Sonic Spirit Night: Best Practices for Success
We’re excited to partner with your organization for a Spirit Night at Sonic. These events are a fun and easy way to raise money while bringing your community together. Below is everything you need to know to make your night a success.

Your Role: Promote the Event
Your organization’s primary responsibility is to spread the word and encourage people to come eat at Sonic during your Spirit Night.
-
Share on social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
-
Send emails and texts to families and supporters
-
Post flyers at school, church, or around your community
-
Remind people multiple times leading up to the event
The more people who show up, the more money your organization will earn.

How Your Organization Earns Money
Spirit Nights take place from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
-
If total sales during that time reach $1,500 or more
→ Your organization earns 20% of total sales -
If total sales are below $1,500
→ Your organization earns 10% of total sales
Groups that bring the largest crowds tend to earn the most.

Get Involved and Create Energy
The most successful Spirit Nights are the ones where organizations actively participate and create a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
We encourage your group to:
-
Decorate the patio with balloons, streamers, and signs
-
Bring sidewalk chalk, bubbles, or simple games for kids
-
Use the space as an opportunity to showcase your organization
For example, school bands or performance groups may choose to play on the patio as part of their Spirit Night. This is a great way to highlight your group and draw in additional supporters.
The more visible and engaged your group is, the more successful your event will be.
